THIRD PRIZE TO SANDRA SCHILLING
For the interesting result obtained through an unedited play of contamination between photography and calligraphy.
Photography is "writing with light", for it captures the development of an event in time. Calligraphy is not only "beautiful writing", but it is also the control and drawing of letters which unfold in time and define themselves in the obscurity of the ink.
The works of Sandra Schilling have stopped the process of writing, freezing the gestures of the calligrapher.
The event of writing has begun, but it has yet to be accomplished. Everything is suspended: light, shadow, text, leggibility, time...

Terzo premio a SANDRA SCHILLING per l'interessante risultato raggiunto mediante un inedito gioco di contaminazione fra fotografia e calligrafia.
La fotografia è "scrittura con la luce", ma è anche la possibilità di fissare un attimo dello svolgersi di un evento nel tempo.
La calligrafia è "bella scrittura", ma è anche controllo e disegno di lettere che si dipanano nel tempo e si concretizzano nell'oscurità dell'inchiostro. Il lavoro di Sandra Schilling ha fermato il processo dello scrivere congelando il gesto del calligrafo.
L'evento della scrittura è iniziato, ma non è ancora compiuto, tutto è sospeso, la luce, l'ombra, il testo, la leggibilità, il tempo.....
